Battery Cell Production Process
A complete battery production line connects multiple manufacturing stages from electrode preparation to finished-cell testing. The equipment combination changes according to the cell format and production requirements.
Electrode Preparation
Cathode and anode materials are mixed into electrode slurry before coating.
Coating and Drying
The slurry is coated onto metal foil and dried to form the electrode coating.
Calendering and Slitting
The coated electrode is compressed to the required thickness and then slit into specified widths.
Cell Assembly
The prepared electrodes and separator are assembled according to the selected cell format. Winding, stacking, welding, and other assembly operations are configured according to the cell design.
Electrolyte Filling and Sealing
Electrolyte is introduced under controlled conditions, followed by sealing and vacuum-related processing where required.
Formation and Testing
The assembled cells undergo formation, aging, electrical testing, sorting, and grading before further use or pack assembly.
