Service Overview
The Vacuum Chamber With Gloves provides a controlled working environment for handling materials and assembling battery cells under low oxygen and moisture conditions.
The sealed chamber allows operators to handle electrodes, electrolytes, battery materials and assembled cells through the glove ports without exposing them directly to the surrounding atmosphere.
A large antechamber and a small antechamber are provided for material transfer. The purification and circulation system uses nitrogen or argon to maintain the required atmosphere, while the vacuum system supports chamber evacuation and pressure control.
The chamber can also be configured with electrical feedthroughs, vacuum connections and other laboratory accessories according to the customer's process requirements.

Vacuum System and Sensors
The vacuum system uses an Edwards rotary vane vacuum pump with a flow rate of 12 m³/h. The pump can be operated manually or controlled through the PLC. It is used for evacuating the antechamber and maintaining the required pressure conditions during material transfer. The specified ultimate vacuum is ≤2 × 10⁻¹ Pa.
The oxygen sensor has a measuring range of 0–1000 ppm and a stated accuracy of 0.2 ppm. The moisture sensor also covers a measuring range of 0–1000 ppm and is suitable for battery research and other moisture-sensitive applications.
Additional Equipment
An organic solvent adsorber can be installed inside the chamber. The standard configuration uses 10 kg of molecular sieve for solvent adsorption and regeneration.
An industrial air conditioner is installed on the top of the glove box. It provides a rated cooling capacity of 1050 W and a temperature adjustment range of 15–36 °C. The standard electrical specification is 220 V / 50 Hz.
Acceptance criteria:
Under standard test conditions of 20 °C, standard atmospheric pressure, 99.999% inert gas and an empty working chamber, the water and oxygen levels are maintained below 1 ppm.
